Portrait of a Reader

A STUDY IN THINKING PATTERNS

Reading is learning to listen to what you notice, what you're reminded of, and where your attention goes as you move from one sentence to the next.

This piece illustrates that readers  aren't people who merely carry books around, but who sit with - and carry around - ideas.

A reader isn't shaped by how many books they've read, but by how many thoughts they've sat with while reading.

FROM THE ARTIST

I've always believed that strong readers aren't simply people who consume books, but people who sit with ideas long enough for those ideas to begin shaping how they think. This piece was created a visual reflection of that process.
